To The Reader

Just a brief note to clarify the time frame of my story, it takes place during the 50s and 60s. Please be aware that this story is about the life of a female mortician and the dysfunction in her family life and the lives of her children. I, being the youngest of five, believe I received the brunt of her frustrations and anger. Some of the names of the characters and places are fictional; However, the events are real-life, but would most likely be disputed by some who are still living.   Respectfully submitted Mary Ross Smith
